Step 1: Log in to Firebase Console
- Use the web browser to navigate to Firebase Console.
- Click the Sign In button in the top right corner if you are not already logged in.
- Enter your credentials.
Step 2: Access Your Project
- In the Firebase Console, look for and click on the project associated with the Blaze plan that you want to downgrade.
Step 3: Go to Project Settings
- Click on the gear icon (⚙️) located next to "Project Overview" on the left sidebar.
- Select Project Settings from the dropdown menu.
Step 4: Navigate to Billing
- Once in Project Settings, click on the Usage and billing tab. This will take you to the Billing section of your project.
Step 5: Modify Your Plan
- In the Billing section, you will see details about your current Blaze plan.
- Look for a button or link that says Modify Plan or similar that allows you to change your billing plan.
Step 6: Select the Spark Plan
- After clicking on Modify Plan, a list of available plans will appear.
- Select the Spark Plan, which is the free tier of Firebase.
- Review any potential changes to your project's feature availability and limits.
Step 7: Confirm the Downgrade
- Once you've selected the Spark Plan, confirm your selection.
- Firebase may prompt you to review your choices or warn you about features under the Blaze plan that will not be available in the Spark Plan.
- If you agree, confirm the downgrade operation.
Step 8: Verify the Downgrade
- After downgrading, verify the plan by returning to the Usage and billing section.
- It should now display the Spark Plan as your current plan.
Additional Considerations
- Downgrading to the Spark plan may affect your project's performance or available features. Specifically, limits on database storage, networking, and other critical resources could impact your project's functionality.
- Carefully analyze your project's dependencies on Blaze-only features before downgrading to ensure continued operation without interruptions.
